Malignant tumour developed on the account of epithelial tissues. Carcinomas represents around 80% of cancers. They may develop on the skin, digestive, respiratory, genital and urinary mucosa, on all glands attached to these tissues (breast, liver, pancreas, kidneys, prostate) and on the endocrine glands (thyroid, adrenal). Their severity depends on the headquarters of the tumour (skin carcinoma generally has a favourable evolution) and its microscopic appearance, i.e. its ability to reproduce more or less faithfully the tissue in which it develops.
