Incubation period
The incubation period of the Chlamydia infection is not clearly defined, but taking into account the low multiplier rate, symptoms may occur after 7-14 days after infectant contact.
Infectiousness Period
The infectiousness period is not clearly delineated, being stretched over several months, with some authors stating that it may take until the infection is treated/cured. The untreated infection most often becomes chronic in a few months. Relapses, reinfection are common.
